People think that every athlete knows how dangerous is low testosterone for sports, physical fitness and for overall vitality (sexuality, physical activity, etc.). But what many do not realize is the fact that this deviation can occur not only because of the use of certain anabolic and androgenic steroids, but also because of the improper lifestyle, as well negative situations in life that oppress the masculine side. It may be stress, humiliation, problems in family and other problems.
One of the main reasons for the low levels of the male sex hormone are age-related changes, and genetic predisposition. Usually, after a sharp hormonal surge which occurs in teenagers, the level of described androgen is high enough in the blood even up to 30 years, although some decrease in testosterone in men, and calming behavior can occur before this age (20+ years, everything is very individual). After 30 years the level of sex hormones in the stronger sex is starting to fall by about 1-2 percent a year, and after 50, it collapses completely and becomes passive.
Truly, the low levels of testosterone, if we talk about men – is the level at rates of less than 14 nm per liter, when the first signs and symptoms of androgen insufficiency begin to appear. By the way, there are other good reasons, not only age and genetics, which can cause a low testosterone, in the first place is the variety of nerve / psychological overload: the lack of male emotions because of the low productivity of the life, work associated with constant stress, family problems and in general, problems in personal life, the exhaustion of the nervous system.
Also low testosterone in men can be caused by various harmful to health habits:
- Abuse of alcohol and drinks containing alcohol;
- Narcotic substances that can completely destroy the hormonal system.
In addition, there are causes of low testosterone levels associated with the poor lifestyle choices. First of all – it is long-term abstinence, the fact that the lack of sexual activity can harm the male hormone more than certain steroids. Secondly, the lack of physical activity or its presence in the minimum / moderate amounts. Third, office lifestyle, and it doesn’t matter, whether it is caused by the general passivity or is associated with the work. Fourth, low testosterone levels in men can be caused by living in ecologically unfavorable region.
Fifth, obesity – excess weight, not only inhibits the production of male hormones, but also contributes to their transformation into estrogens (female sex hormones). Finally, sixth is the application of specific pharmacological product including hormonal preparations. It includes AAS also.
You see now that low testosterone may be caused by different factors. If some of these problems happen to you, you should start treating it ASAP. Change your lifestyle, eat properly, practice sports. In some cases, there are drugs that also help to increase testosterone levels.
