The experts in bodybuilding say that it is necessary to use a lot of for the increase the strength and to get qualitative muscle mass. However, the specialists in nutrition claim that is important to keep the diet with the high carbohydrates, especially complex carbohydrates for the increasing strength indicators and size. They think that high protein isn’t good for the organism.
Perhaps we should also point out the fact that only a few researches have been carried out, in which have studied high protein intake and changes in muscle size. It turned out that results are unconvincing. The research project was poor, some aspects of the diet were missed, and most were carried out on the inexperienced trainers who may not know about how to train correctly. Besides, the topic of anabolic steroids is excluded which do increase demand for protein.

Our muscles consist of two main proteins, actin and myosin. The protein splits into amino acids when ingested, which spread through the blood. These amino acids help to increase the muscle growth and to regenerate muscle fibers. Moreover, the muscles regenerate faster after physical activity, if our body will digest protein well.
It is well-known fact that we need to intake carbs after the workouts for muscle growth and also regeneration. Mainly, this applies to the athletes who may need about 60% of their energy intake from carbs.
There are different types of the carbohydrates. The type of carbs which should be used are high fibre starchy, such as brown rice, soybeans, whole wheat bread, etc.
Protein and carbs – get the balance right
Proteins and carbs are needed in large number for the muscle growth. It is difficult to give general advice because we are individuals and our demands to nutrients are different. For example, if you want to increase the muscle mass and at the same time to lose your fat, in this case carbs intake should be reduced. But if you are a beginner and you need to increase your muscle mass, you need to have high protein intake. Besides, do not forget about carbs intake to gain weight. By the way, you will not achieve great results, if your protein intake isn’t enough.
Actually, proteins and carbs complement each other. It will be the best way to combine it together.
